Ok. I understand that a case is meant to protect a phone from being damaged/scratched and this does that job fine, but considering that most phones never leave their cases shouldn’t there be some thought to keeping the case looking somewhat attractive? I have owned this case for exactly one day and the back is so covered in scrathes that it looks like its been rubbed on rough asphalt for an hour. I have taken it out of my pocket less than a dozen times! I was hoping to have a nice glossy finish for at least a while like the pictures show but it is hideous. I keep trying to buff the scratches away but its getting worse. I was surprised to find that the outside case was not ridgid like the name candyshell would suggest but more of a rubbery silicone material. In hindsight I probably should have gotten the white speck candyshell as it would probably show less scratches. My previous case is the seidio innocase II and it is less bulky and has a matte finish that won’t scratch or slip out of your hand. I think I’ll be going back to that case.

After only a month of owning this case the bottom cracked. I have been extremely careful with the phone and it hasn’t been through any trauma to warrant the case crack. The rubber along the edge is also starting to fray. The earphone jack is difficult to access and the case must be removed to hook up many audio devices. I wish I had read a review warning me about this “highly rated” case – I’ll be buying a different brand next time.

Complete waste of money. Toggle switch on the side pushed against the phone’s toggle and it would not fit correctly.

I have had my speck case for my iphone for only one month, and it now cracked along the charger portion. The case also does not come off easily, which likely led to the cracking issue. The gummy rubber of the case attracts lint and does not look good after the first few weeks. I like to plug my iphone into a Bose speaker set at home, and a regular Aux in/out input does not fit with the case on the phone. I have to remove the case to use the Aux in/out connector.
